Go Construct Shop (the ‘Shop’) Terms and Conditions
If you are purchasing a Product (as defined below) the below terms and conditions will apply.
These Shop terms and conditions are effective from 27 April 2026.
1. About these terms and conditions
1.1. These are the terms and conditions (the ‘Terms’) on which we supply the Products to you. These Terms form the whole of our ‘Agreement’ with you.
1.2. In these Terms, the following words have the following meanings:
‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ means the Construction Industry Training Board (Registered Charity Number 264289 in England and Wales and SC044875 in Scotland), known as CITB;
‘you’ means the individual or organisation ordering Products under these terms and conditions;
‘Description’ means our description of a Product that may be procured from us, including Products supplied free of charge;
‘Dispatch’ means the time Products are dispatched from us or our nominated suppliers;
‘Order’ means a request by you to procure Products from us;
‘Order Number’ means a number provided by us to you after you place an Order;
‘Products’ means a digital product available to download or a physical product dispatched from us or our nominated suppliers;
‘Working Days’ means a day other than a Saturday or Sunday or a public or bank holiday in England and Wales.
1.3. Reference to writing or written includes email or other electronic transmission in normal readable form.
1.4. These Terms replace all other terms and conditions previously applicable to the sale of the Products and shall apply to any Order to the exclusion of any other terms and conditions. We may at any time revise these Terms, in whole or in part, without notice. You agree to review the Terms regularly and any Order placed by you signifies acceptance of them. We may not necessarily keep a copy of your Order and these Terms and recommend that you keep a copy of them for your information in the future.
1.5. If you ae placing an online Order, your use of the website is also subject to the terms and conditions governing the use of our website. Access to the website is on a temporary basis and we reserve the right to amend or withdraw the service.
2. Minors
2.1. To purchase Products you must be 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18 years old, you can only purchase a Product with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
3. Placing your order
3.1. An Order for a Product can be placed through the Go Construct Shop website. At the final stage of the online ordering process, when you click ‘place order now’, we will send you a notification by email acknowledging receipt and details of your Order.
3.2. The email notification sent to you by us following the placing of an Order online is intended to be treated as an acknowledgement of the Order only and does not mean that we have accepted your Order, unless specified otherwise by us.
4. Our Agreement with you
4.1. All Orders for Products shall be regarded as an offer by you to procure the Products under the Terms of the Agreement.
4.2. Although we make every effort to ensure that the Description of the Products and the prices set out on our website or in our literature is accurate, mistakes may occasionally happen. We reserve the right to cancel any Order for Products where any such mistake has occurred, even after we have accepted such an Order. Where pricing is concerned, if the Product is being procured free of charge, we will process your Order at no charge. If the correct price is lower than stated we will process your Order and charge you the lower price. If the correct price is higher, we will notify you in writing and give you the option of either paying the higher price or cancelling your Order.
4.3. After placing an Order online, you will receive an email from us acknowledging that we have received your Order. Please note that this does not mean that your Order has been accepted. Acceptance of your offer will take place on Dispatch to you of the Products ordered unless we notify you in writing of our acceptance at any time prior to such Dispatch. Our acceptance of your Order brings into existence a legally binding Agreement between us.
5. Selecting the Products
5.1. You are responsible for the selection of the Products, and any Description, advice or recommendation given by us to you as to the suitability, fitness for any purpose, application or use of the Products is intended for guidance only and is followed or acted upon entirely at your own risk. Accordingly, we shall not be liable for any such Description, advice or recommendation.
6. Price and Delivery Charges
6.1. The prices of the Products are as published on the website, including Products which are free of charge. We reserve the right to change prices listed without notice.
6.2. Prices shown exclude value added tax ('VAT') and any other government duty or tax applicable unless specified otherwise by us on the website.
6.3. Products will only be delivered to a postal address in the UK, which will be free of charge unless we notify you otherwise prior to Dispatch.
7. Payment
7.1. All payments must be made in UK sterling (GBP).
7.2. Payment shall be made before the Products are Dispatched other than where we agree to payment being made through an active credit account with us. If you fail to make any payment prior to Dispatch or on the due date as applicable, without prejudice to any other right or remedy available to us, we shall be entitled to cancel the Agreement and/or suspend any further deliveries to you.
7.3. Where payment is to be made by a credit account, payment shall be made within 30 days of the date of invoice. If full payment is not received when due we shall be entitled to include interest on the amount outstanding from the date when such payment is due until the date of actual payment (both after as well as before judgement) at a rate per annum of 4 per cent above the base rate from time to time of Barclays Bank plc. If we must recover the outstanding payment and/or Products, recovery costs are to be paid by you.
8. Set-off
8.1. Without waiver or limitation of any rights or remedies we shall be entitled to set-off any and all monies owed by us to you against any and all monies owed by you to us under this or any other contract.
9. Delivery
9.1. If your Order is accepted, we will aim to deliver within 10 Working Days and in any event within 30 days starting on the day after you have placed your Order. The place of delivery for Products shall be as stated in the Order, which will be a postal address in the United Kingdom ('Delivery Address'). If we are not able to deliver the Products by the Latest Delivery Date you will be informed of this and, unless you request us to continue processing your Order and if you have paid for the Products, you shall be reimbursed as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days starting on the day after the Latest Delivery Date.
9.2. You may receive dispatch and delivery information direct from our nominated suppliers.
9.3. For operational reasons the Products may be delivered in instalments. Any failure by us to deliver any one or more of the instalments in accordance with this Agreement or any claim by you in respect of any one or more instalments shall not entitle you to treat the Agreement in its entirety as terminated.
9.4. If you do not receive the Products you have ordered within 30 days of placing an Order you must notify us immediately. In the absence of such notice from you to us, the Products shall be deemed to have been delivered and accepted by you complete and in a satisfactory condition. Thereafter, you shall not be entitled to reject the Products, we shall have no liability for any defects or failure and you shall be bound to pay the price as if the Products had been delivered in accordance with this Agreement.
10. Risk and Ownership
10.1. Risk of damage to or loss of the Products shall pass to you upon delivery at the Delivery Address.
10.2. Ownership of the Products passes to you on the earlier of the two events, receipt by us of full payment, or delivery to you of the Products at your Delivery Address. We may recover any Products supplied at any time prior to ownership passing if you are in breach of these Terms.
11. Damaged or Defective Products
11.1. You should inspect the Products when you receive them for defects or damage. If you find a defect or damage you must tell us as soon as possible, by contacting us as set out in clause 18 (Get in touch). If the Products are found to be damaged or defective upon delivery to you, at our discretion we will repair or replace the Products or refund the price paid by you.
11.2. At our request and direction you shall send to us the damaged or defective Products. We will check all Products returned as damaged or defective. In the event we find no fault, we reserve the right not to refund you and to recover our fees and expenses from you.
12. Cancellation and Returns
12.1. Cancellations and returns are at our sole discretion and provisional upon you indemnifying CITB for all costs and charges incurred by us in the original delivery of those Products and their subsequent return including any handling charges, and provided you inform us by email to goconstructshop@citb.co.uk of your wish to cancel or seek a refund within 14 days from receipt of the Products. Should you wish to return any Products please contact us at goconstructshop@citb.co.uk. Your statutory rights are not affected.
12.2. You may not cancel the Agreement if the Products delivered have been customised or personalised.
12.3. If we agree to you cancelling the Agreement, you are to return the Products to us in their original condition, undamaged and at your cost within 14 days of such cancellation. Once we have receipt of the Products and they have been verified we can proceed with any refund due.
12.4. Products returned should be packaged securely, clearly identified with the applicable Order Number and sent to the address we provide you when arranging the return.
12.5. Any Products returned will be at your risk and we shall not be responsible for Products which are damaged or lost in transit.
13. Intellectual Property
13.1. The names, images and logos identifying CITB are proprietary marks of CITB.
13.2. All other trademarks, brand names, product names and titles and copyright used in our website, our catalogue, or the Products, are trademarks, brand names, product names or copyrights of their respective holders. No permission is given by CITB in respect of the use of any of them and such use may constitute an infringment of the holder's rights.
13.3. Copyright subsists in our website, our literature (including Descriptions) and our Products. No part of our website, our literature (including Descriptions) or our Products may be reproduced in any form without prior written consent.
14. Liability
14.1. Nothing in this Agreement is intended to limit liability for (a) death, personal injury caused by our negligence; or (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by the laws of England and Wales.
14.2. Subject to clause 14.1 we shall not be liable to you:
14.2.1. For any indirect, special or consequential loss of any nature whatsoever; or
14.2.2. For any loss of profits, loss of income, other economic loss, loss of business, loss of contracts, loss of goodwill, loss of data, administrative inconvience or disappointment.
14.2.3. Where performance of any obligation to you is prevented or impeded by any circumstance or cause beyond our reasonable control including without limitation strikes and other industrial disputes, breakdown of systems or network access, flood, fire, explosion or accident.
14.3. Subject to clause 14.1, our liability to you in contract, tort or otherwise is limited to the cost of replacing the Products ordered.
14.4. We do not accept liability for shortages in quantities delivered unless you notify us of any claim of short delivery of the Products within two Working Days of delivery. In such circumstances our liability shall be restricted to making good the shortfall.
14.5. We accept no liability for any reliance placed upon the contents of any Product supplied.
15. Data Protection and Privacy Policy
15.1. 'Personal Data' is an individual's personal information including information obtained directly from an individual, or from third parties, or as a result of our relationship with the individual in our capacity as an Industrial Training Board.
15.2. Following you placing an Order, we need to use your Personal Data for the purpose of supplying the Products (including passing your details on to couriers and other subcontractors).
15.2. Your Personal Data will be processed by us in accordance with all applicable data protection and privacy legislation in force from time to time in the UK and in line with our Privacy Policy. 16. General
16.1. A person who is not a party to this Agreement has no right under the UK Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of this contract but this does not affect any right or remedy of a third party that exists or is available apart from that Act.
16.2. The headings in these Terms are for convenience only and shall not affect their interpretation.
16.3. If any terms of this Agreement is found by any court or body or authority of compenent jurisdiction to be illegal, unlawful, void or unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you), such term will be deemed to be severed from this Agreement and this will not affect the enforceability of the remainder of this Agreement which will continue in full force and effect.
16.4. The Agreement between us shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any disputes between us.

Go Construct STEM Ambassador Rewards Programme Terms and Conditions
("Terms and Conditions")
1. Background
1.1. The Go Construct STEM Ambassador Rewards Programme ("the Programme") is a programme to reward registered Go Construct STEM Ambassadors ("Ambassador(s)", “You”, “They” or “Your”), who have agreed to share Their details with Us, for completing specific engagements and to show Our appreciation for all Your hard work and commitment.
1.2. Ambassadors who register with the Programme and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions are entitled to receive Lifestyle e-Vouchers when They complete Their first and third Engagements and a branded gift pack when They complete Their second Engagement ("Reward(s)").
1.3. The promoter of the Programme is CITB, otherwise known as the Construction Industry Training Board (Registered Charity Numbers 264289 (England & Wales) and SC044875 (Scotland)), whose principal office is situated at 4 Cyrus Way, Peterborough, PE7 8HP ("CITB", “We”, “Us”, or “Our”).
1.4. The Programme enables You to receive a Reward upon completion and recording of an Ambassador engagement ("Engagement(s)"), subject to certain exclusions, including, but not limited to, for example:
- Classroom presentations and activities
- After school clubs
- Exhibitions and careers fairs
- Career talks
- Speed networking events for pupils
- Networking or Continuous Professional Development (CPD) evenings for teachers
- Off-timetable STEM enrichment days
- One-to-one mentoring for students
- Site visits and hosting work experience, and
- Non-school groups.
1.5. Certain activities are excluded (see Exclusions below). We will determine at Our sole discretion what constitutes an Engagement.
1.6. Rewards are free of charge and given as an incentive and are not available for re-distribution or for use for commercial purposes. The Rewards can only be used by the Ambassador.

2. Your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions
2.1. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. Your participation in the Programme will constitute Your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and serve as Your eligibility to receive a Reward from Us. Any Lifestyle e-Vouchers obtained or used outside of these Terms and Conditions will not be covered by CITB.
2.2. We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time for any reason including for legal, regulatory, business or policy reasons, so please check them regularly. Ambassadors who continue to participate in the Programme following such a change will be considered to have accepted the updated Terms and Conditions.
2.3. We reserve the right to close the Programme at any time. Ambassadors will be given reasonable notice of the closure.
2.4. If You do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, You should not participate in Our Programme and should not apply for a Reward.
2.5. No person under 17 years of age can participate in the Programme.
3. How to join the Programme
3.1. To participate in the Programme, You must be aged 17 or over and resident in the UK, registered as a STEM Ambassador and be a participant in the Go Construct STEM Ambassador Scheme.
3.2. Once Your registration is complete and Your account has been approved You will be entitled to receive Rewards under the Programme. You cannot receive a Reward until Your registration has been completed and confirmed.
3.3. It is important to keep Your details correct and up-to-date at all times. Please make sure that You verify and provide Us with true, accurate and complete information during Your account registration process and update it afterwards if necessary. If We discover that any information related to Your account is not accurate, we may need to suspend or cancel Your account.
3.4. All Lifestyle e-Vouchers are subject to availability and We cannot guarantee that the retailer of Your choice will be available when You exchange Your Lifestyle e-Voucher.
4. Eligibility for the Programme
4.1. To participate in the Programme, You must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:
- Be registered through STEM Learning as a STEM Ambassador
- Have completed the STEM Learning induction programme
- Have completed your DBS (or PVG) check through STEM Learning
- Have an active STEM Ambassador account
- Be registered as a participant of the Go Construct STEM Ambassador Scheme
- Opt in to share Your contact details with the Go Construct STEM Ambassador Scheme
- Have an active Go Construct STEM Ambassador account for the Go Construct Shop.
4.2. Support and assistance to become an Ambassador is available through www.goconstruct.org/ambassadors.
4.3. Employees of CITB, STEM Learning and/or Partners are not eligible to receive Rewards.
5. How to qualify for a Lifestyle e-Voucher
5.1. Ambassadors will qualify for a Lifestyle e-Voucher when They complete an Engagement (subject to any applicable exclusions as determined by CITB in its sole discretion), which must be recorded within the STEM portal.
5.2. Lifestyle e-Vouchers will only be issued for Engagements recorded within the STEM portal.
5.3. Once You have completed and recorded an Engagement You should place an order in the Go Construct Shop. Lifestyle e-Vouchers will not be issued unless an order has been placed in the Go Construct Shop. If You are provided with or set up Your own password or any other piece of information as part of Our security procedures during Your registration, please ensure that You treat such information as confidential.
5.4. If You are entitled to receive a Lifestyle e-Voucher, You will be notified by a member of the Go Construct STEM Ambassador Scheme team. The notification will be sent to You by email to the email address registered against Your name within the STEM portal. Please note that the Lifestyle e-Vouchers cannot be sent by post.
5.5. The notification will be deemed to have been delivered as soon as it has been emailed to Your registered email address. Should You believe You are entitled to receive a Lifestyle e-Voucher but have not received a notification email, it is Your responsibility to contact Us at ambassadors@citb.co.uk to advise Us accordingly.
5.6. If You are eligible, You can receive a maximum of two Lifestyle e-Vouchers. These are awarded as follows:
- £5 Lifestyle e-Voucher for completing Your first Engagement with an external organisation, and
- £20 Lifestyle e-Voucher for completing Your third Engagement with an external organisation.
5.7. Please note that:
- The Lifestyle e-Vouchers will only apply to Engagements undertaken and recorded following the date of the launch of the Programme.
- Each participant will only be entitled to a total of two Lifestyle e-Vouchers with an aggregate value of £25.
- Lifestyle e-Vouchers will only be issued once for each qualifying Engagement.
- To qualify for the second Lifestyle e-Voucher, Your third Engagement must be completed within 12 months from the date of completion of the first Engagement.
- Lifestyle e-Vouchers are not covered by any compensation scheme.
- Lifestyle e-Vouchers can only be redeemed at www.lifestylegiftcards.co.uk.
6. How to redeem Your Lifestyle e-Vouchers
6.1. You will receive confirmation of Your Lifestyle e-Voucher by email, with details of a link to the redemption website. Select the link to create an account and register Your Lifestyle e-Voucher. Enter Your Lifestyle e-Voucher unique reference number and security code. You can then redeem Your Lifestyle e-Voucher by exchanging it for a gift card or e-code from a wide range of retailers that are available to choose from. Enter Your email address and Your selected gift card and/or code will be emailed to You. Once You have a gift card and/or code, please follow Your chosen retailer's instructions to redeem. No cash alternative is available.
6.2. You should also remember that the products or services to which the Lifestyle e-Vouchers relate are provided by third parties, and as such, they are subject to the relevant party's terms and conditions of supply. If You are redeeming Your Lifestyle e-Voucher for an online purchase, You will normally be re-directed to the relevant party's website whose terms and conditions should be displayed on that partner's website. As We do not supply the underlying products or services, Our role is limited to providing You with the Lifestyle e-Voucher, but We are not responsible for the availability, quality or suitability of the products purchased by You. As a result, We cannot be responsible for that party's performance of their obligations, including any losses or damage suffered by You as a result of the party's supply of products or services to You or their failure to supply or comply with applicable laws and regulations. If You are not satisfied with the service or product, please contact the relevant party, although We would welcome Your feedback, as it is important for Us that We partner with reliable suppliers.
6.3. Please note that all Lifestyle e-Vouchers are for Your personal use and You cannot sell, copy or reproduce them. If We learn that You have sold, copied, reproduced or otherwise used Lifestyle e-Vouchers for commercial gain or fraudulently, We may permanently cancel Your access to the Programme and cancel Your Lifestyle e-Voucher(s).
7. How to qualify for a gift pack
7.1. Ambassadors will qualify for a branded gift pack when They complete Their second Engagement (subject to any applicable exclusions as determined by CITB in its sole discretion), which must be recorded within the STEM portal.
7.2. Gift packs will only be issued for Engagements recorded within the STEM portal.
7.3. Once You have completed and recorded Your second Engagement, You should place an order in the Go Construct Shop. Gift packs will not be issued unless an order has been placed in the Go Construct Shop. If You are provided with or set up Your own password or any other piece of information as part of Our security procedures during Your registration, please ensure that You treat such information as confidential.
7.4. If You are entitled to receive a gift pack, You will be notified by a member of the Go Construct STEM Ambassador Scheme team. The notification will be sent to You by email to the email address registered against Your name within the STEM portal. Gift packs will be sent to You by post.
7.5. The notification will be deemed to have been delivered as soon as it has been emailed to Your registered email address. Should You believe You are entitled to receive a gift pack but have not received a notification email, it is Your responsibility to contact Us at ambassadors@citb.co.uk to advise Us accordingly.
7.6. If You are eligible, You can receive a maximum of one gift pack. This is awarded as follows:
- Branded gift pack for completing Your second Engagement with an external organisation.
7.7. Please note that:
- The gift pack will only apply to Engagements undertaken and recorded following the date of the launch of the Programme.
- Each participant will only be entitled to one gift pack.
- Gift packs will only be issued once for each qualifying Engagement.
- To qualify for the gift pack, Your second Engagement must be completed within 12 months from the date of completion of the first Engagement.
8. Exclusions
8.1. There are certain types of Engagements that will not count towards Your eligibility for Rewards including, but not limited to:
- Recruitment related Engagements, for example Discover sessions, delivered by STEM Learning and/or Partners, Go Construct STEM Ambassador Scheme, or Your employer;
- Enrolment related Engagements, for example onboarding sessions, delivered by STEM Learning and/or Partners, Go Construct STEM Ambassador Scheme, or Your employer; or
- Induction related Engagements, for example training and/or CPD webinars or Cuppa and Catch Up sessions, delivered by STEM Learning and/or Partners, Go Construct STEM Ambassador Scheme, or Your employer.
8.2. We reserve the right to amend the list of exclusions at any time.
9. Expiry, termination and cancellation
9.1. Please note that all Engagements must be registered on the STEM Learning portal and claimed through the Go Construct Shop within 6 months of the Engagement taking place for You to qualify for a Reward.
9.2. Please note that Lifestyle e-Vouchers have a 24-month expiry and must be redeemed within that period.
9.3. Any Lifestyle e-Voucher which has not been redeemed (i.e. converted into a gift card for example) before the expiry date will lapse and will not be re-issued or extended.
9.4. Once You have exchanged Your Lifestyle e-Voucher for Your chosen retailer's gift card and/or code, the retailer will provide You with the gift card and/or code expiry date and terms and conditions. Individual gift cards and/or codes will expire as per the instructions received from the retailer.
9.5. If Your Lifestyle e-Voucher or, once exchanged, the retailers gift card and/or code, expires before You have used it, You will not be entitled to receive a replacement or cash alternative.
9.6. We reserve the right to cancel Your Lifestyle e-Voucher and/or have your right to participate in the Programme suspended and/or cancelled if:
- You are in breach of these Terms and Conditions
- We have reasonable grounds to suspect that You are engaged in fraudulent or other criminal activities relating to Us and/or Your membership of the Go Construct STEM Ambassador Scheme and/or the Programme
- You display any behaviour relating to Your participant in the Go Construct STEM Ambassador Scheme and/or the Programme that involves theft, misconduct, abusive or offensive behaviour; and/or
- You supply false or misleading information.
9.7. We reserve the right to cancel Your participation in the Programme if Your STEM Ambassador account has been suspended by STEM Learning and/or You have not been an active member for 12 months.
9.8. If Your account has been suspended, You may choose to re-register. When re-starting Your account, You may re-start Your participation in the Programme but will not be entitled to receive Lifestyle e-Vouchers if they have been claimed previously.
9.9. You have the right to cancel Your participation in the Programme at any time in writing. If You cancel Your participation, You will forfeit the right to receive any Lifestyle e-Vouchers in the future.
9.10. If You cancel Your participation You may choose to re-join the Programme. When re-joining the Programme, You will not be entitled to receive any Lifestyle e-Vouchers previously issued to You.
9.11. The Programme will automatically terminate once all Lifestyle e-Vouchers have been claimed by Ambassadors.
10. Loss, theft, or damage
10.1. CITB does not accept any liability for the loss, theft, or damage of Rewards.
10.2. You should immediately report any fraudulent or unauthorised use of Your Lifestyle e-Voucher to a member of the Go Construct STEM Ambassador Scheme team. If someone makes unauthorised use of Your Lifestyle e-Voucher We may, at Our sole discretion, re-issue a Lifestyle e-Voucher to You.
10.3. We will not re-issue Your Lifestyle e-Voucher where We reasonably believe that the notified incident has been caused by Your negligence, a breach of these Terms and Conditions, or if there are reasonable grounds for suspecting that You are or have been engaged in fraudulent or other unlawful conduct in relation to Your participation.
11. Looking after Your data
11.1. When You participate in the Go Construct STEM Ambassador Scheme and in the management of Your account You will be asked to provide personal information, including Your name and contact details. In order to manage Your account, it is important that You let Us know about any changes to Your personal data.
11.2 Your personal data will be used for any purposes connected with Our delivery of the Programme including being shared with Motivates Inc Ltd who will administer the Lifestyle e-Vouchers issued as part of the Programme.
11.3. We are committed to maintaining the security of Your personal information in accordance with the requirements of all relevant Data Protection laws applicable in the United Kingdom and will take all reasonable steps to ensure that Your personal data is kept secure against unauthorised access, loss, disclosure, or destruction, although We cannot guarantee that Our systems will be absolutely secure, and free from bugs or viruses, so You should use Your own virus protection software. We expect You to respect the security of Our systems and so You must not misuse Our systems by knowingly introducing viruses or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful.

CITB shall not be liable for any loss or damage of whatsoever nature suffered or incurred by You as a consequence of Your participation in the Programme, including any default arising directly or indirectly from the failure of network services and/or failure of data processing systems. 12.2. The exclusions and limitations in these Terms and Conditions shall not apply to exclude or limit any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under any applicable law of England and Wales.
